LOS ANGELES – 30 MARCH 2026 – Phillips is pleased to announce the return of Rebekah Bowling to the company. Based in Los Angeles, Rebekah will build upon her ten years of experience at Phillips and nearly twenty years of experience in the art industry to deepen and expand Phillips’ client network on the West Coast. With particular expertise in Ultra-Contemporary works, she will bring a curatorial point of view to Phillips’ Modern & Contemporary Art sales and work with the company’s specialist teams, leveraging her knowledge and expertise to champion artists, provide thoughtful market context, and connect collectors with works that define contemporary practice today.

Robert Manley, Chairman, Modern & Contemporary Art, said, “Rebekah is an exceptionally talented and forward‑thinking leader whose deep understanding of the late 20th and 21st Century art market has helped shape Phillips’ reputation in this space. She has a rare ability to meet collectors where they are, anticipating how tastes are evolving and recognizing how the future of collecting is being defined across generations and communities. Her return to the company, and her base in Los Angeles, underscores the strategic importance of the West Coast to our business as we continue to grow our presence and engage clients in the ways they collect today.”

Rebekah Bowling, Head of 21st Century Art, said, “The 21st Century market remains a deeply influential area of focus in shaping the future of collecting, and Phillips has consistently set the pace in recognizing and supporting this shift. With proven success in finding opportunities in this market, I am excited to be working at a moment when artists, collectors, and institutions are redefining how contemporary art is engaged with and contextualized, and I look forward to collaborating closely with Phillips’ global specialist teams to bring a thoughtful, forward‑looking perspective to our Modern and Contemporary Art sales, as well as our exhibition programming in Los Angeles.”

Rebekah first joined Phillips in 2015 as a Specialist and Head of the New Now sale in the Modern & Contemporary Art Department. Over the course of her tenure at the company she led a series of record-breaking Day and mid-season auctions, including the highest grossing Day Sale in company history. With expertise in the markets of emerging artists, her consignments have set numerous new records for artists in this field, including those for Nicole Eisenman, Shara Hughes, and Flora Yukhnovich (at the time of the sale), as well as auction debuts for Christina Quarles, and any painting by Jadé Fadojutimi.

Rebekah joins Phillips now from Citi Private Bank, where she served as an Art Advisor. Previously, she held positions at Stuart Shave/Modern Art in London and Andrea Rosen Gallery in New York.

Rebekah received her BA in Art History from the University of Virginia and her MA in Art Business from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
