The definitive illustrated biography of the legend: BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS: THE ULTIMATE ILLUSTRATED HISTORY By Richie Unterberger

In Bob Marley and the Wailers: The Ultimate Illustrated History, author Richie Unterberger documents the rise of these talented artists from a ska group in early- 1960s Kingston, Jamaica, to international superstars, as well as their hand in spreading reggae music around the globe. In addition to exploring the socially conscious music that made Marley and his peers’ universal symbols of justice and Jamaican pride, Unterberger examines the impact of the Rastafari movement on the artists’ lives and work, and dramatic incidents that punctuated their lives—including the breakup of the original Wailers in the mid-1970s, the attempted assassinations of Marley and former bandmate Peter Tosh, and Marley’s illness and untimely death in 1981.
